Happy Mooncake Day!

中秋節快樂!
Happy Mid-Autumn Festival!

What does today mean? In a nutshell, it’s our Thanksgiving, one last hurrah before winter arrives. Festivities include traditional food (mooncake is most important!), lanterns (from extravagant displays  to handheld paper ones) and just a fun family celebration, really!

My fondest memory of this occasion is when I was 3 years old in Hong Kong, the entire family went out after dinner to see the sights in our hood and I wouldn’t let go of my Robotan lantern the whole night — I still have it!
Does anyone remember this cartoon or has even heard of it?

To everyone that is celebrating today, SMILE AND ENJOY! Give extra hugs to your family and be thankful for all the good in your life!
